Cheque for Refugee Fund

The Rev. Canon John Wilker-Blakley receives a cheque for $11,083.62 from Gaye Moffett, on behalf of Ottawa West Rotary. Through Gaye, the Club partnered with St. Matthias in raising funds needed to sponsor a refugee family from the mid-East. Thank-you!

Progress in Sponsoring our Refugee Family

At the  Feb 2015 vestry St Matthias voted in favour of sponsoring an Iraqi family to come to Ottawa from Jordan where they have sought temporary refuge.  Our refugee work is pressing ahead.As of Dec 2015 we have surpassed our first fund raising goal.  If you are interested in helping with some of this, please contact the incumbent or wardens."
