As the liturgical year rolls around, the parish focuses study sessions on such times as Advent and Lent, raising various topics in challenging ways. Children have Sunday School, "The Kids' Fun Zone".
Since a parish visioning day in 2007, there have also been seminars focussing on controversial religious topics that many parishioners feel need to be discussed in light of changes in circumstance and perspectives in these times.
A number of parishioners are also taking the Education for Ministry (EfM) course, with the Rector, the Rev. Joan Riding, as mentor. The emphasis is on enabling the laity to become knowledgeable about their faith and better equipped for our baptismal ministry. The course originated in 1976 at the School of Theology, University of the South, in Sewanee, Tennessee, and offers a four-year program of biblical study, church history, ethics and theology. Graduates receive a diploma from the university.
